Who is Stephen "Stevo" Nameth?
I joined the Mountain Home community over 10 years ago. Before that I resided about 2 hours away in rural Elko County, Nevada where I was born and raised. I grew up participating in Boy Scouts, 4-H, and FFA. I had visited Mountain Home numerous times before relocating, and enjoyed experiencing a small community with good values, excellent local hunting and fishing spots, and pride in our military. I knew this would be a great place to call home! These days you can usually find me busy at FUBAR Drinks or in my backyard tending to my chickens. In my occasional offtime, you probably won't find me as I'll be camping somewhere outside of Pine or fishing some secluded section of the Snake River.
My Work Experience:
I’ve worn many hats and acquired a number of skills. I have Flipped Houses, worked in Radio, specialized in Foodservice, and am now perfecting the art of Small Business ownership.
I hired on with our local Dominos’s store in 2016 and worked my way up from the entry level to taking over as General Manager of the store. In this position I managed a team of up to 30 employees as we pulled in six figure sales numbers each month. During this time I was presented with an opportunity to acquire FUBAR Drinks, a local smoothie foodtruck enterprise. My business partner and I began the acquisition in the fall of 2020. Since that time FUBAR Drinks has grown from a small part-time foodtruck into a full fledged Coffee and Smoothie company after our 2023 acquisition of etc Coffee House. FUBAR Drinks now boasts two brick and mortar locations, including one on the MHAFB, that serve the citizens of Elmore County 7 days a week
My Community Involvement:
Mountain Home is a very close-knit community, and I know first hand how we take care of our own here. I have always tried to use my reach as a local business operator to positively impact the town. During COVID I donated more Domino's Pizzas than I can count to the hardworking staff of St. Luke's Elmore. We've hosted countless fundraisers and raffles at FUBAR for local community members facing unexpected tragedy. I've always done my best to aid local organizations including the Parks & Rec kids sports, Mountain Home Speedway, and Mountain Home School District.
Why I'm Running:
I’ve called Mountain Home my home for over 10 years. I’ve watched the town grow, but it still carries those small town family values that brought me here. I now live here with my fiancé, and as we raise our daughter here, I feel as though it's my time to step up and take a prominent role in our town’s operations. If elected, I will endeavor to increase professionalism within City Hall, ensure that Mountain Home stays a safe place for all of us to raise our children, and also make sure our town maintains a business friendly & robust economy to keep our town beautiful and able to offer even better economic opportunities as we bring up the next generation. I appreciate your consideration of me as your next City Councilman and hope that you can entrust me to do all that I can to positively serve the citizens of Mountain Home.
